Judy and Nick are back! The beloved duo from Zootropolis returns with new characters and an all-new adventure on November 26, 2025. The highly anticipated first trailer and poster for Zootopia 2 film have been released.
A brand new trailer has been released for “Zootropolis 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to “Zootropolis,” which won the Oscar® for Best Animated Feature in 2016. In the trailer, beloved characters Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) reunite, while the mysterious new character, the python Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan), is introduced to the audience.

In the film, which hits theaters on November 26, Judy and Nick set out to solve a major mystery following the arrival of Gary De’Snake, who has turned Zootropolis upside down. To solve this extraordinary mission, they must infiltrate parts of the city they’ve never explored before and take on entirely new disguises. According to director, screenwriter, and creative director Jared Bush, this time around, viewers can expect a much broader world.
Bush said, “We’re excited to invite everyone back to the crazy, massive world of Zootropolis. This time, we’ll take viewers to places they’ve never seen before.” Bush also gave some hints about the story of the new film, saying, “From the swamps of semi-aquatic mammals to endless desert dunes and even greater mysteries, Judy and Nick will meet many new friends, discover the world, themselves, and a new snake who has just arrived in town.”
Director Byron Howard added, “The trailer features the original song ‘ZUTU’ by Zootropolis’ best techno group, LEMEEENS. Hans-Peter, Gūnther, Spielt, and DJ Spaß, returning from superstar Gazelle’s tour, prepared this special song for the city to celebrate this special comeback!”
“Zootropolis 2,” created by Oscar®-winning directors Jared Bush and Byron Howard and producer Yvett Merino, also features the voice talents of Fortune Feimster and Quinta Brunson, along with Shakira returning as Gazelle.
